Rich grew up on California’s Central Coast and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he was a stand out football player. His exceptional real estate career began in Northern California working for a nationwide mortgage bank. Rich’s ability to find solutions for difficult transactions and strong work ethic earned him the opportunity to head up the Northwest region and build it into the company’s most profitable wholesale lending branch. “The hours were long and the competition fierce but at the end of the day it was extremely rewarding, knowing you pushed yourself to the limit and succeeded in your goals.”
Rich and his wife Kristine’s lives changed when on vacation in Kona they fell in love with the beauty, people and lifestyle. “Our first trip to the Big Island was all it took to know that this was the place for us”. Moving to Hawaii and leaving the corporate world behind meant starting over but Rich saw the challenge as an adventure and an opportunity. “Life is full of adventure and opportunities but sometimes you need to go out and find them.” Motivated to succeed in Kona, Rich built a thriving mortgage company that he ran for over a decade while transitioning into full time real estate sales. “I sought to build my business on a foundation of integrity, knowledge and experience.”
Today, after over 15 years in Kona, Rich is still enjoying the adventure. “Living in Hawaii was our dream and helping others enjoy this paradise has been my passion”. Never losing his lifelong enjoyment of sports and competing, you may see Rich at one of the community runs or local triathlons. If so, make sure you say hello.
